Dr. Weber is a Board Certified Neurosurgeon who specializes in the treatment of spine disorders. With a focus on minimally invasive procedures, Dr. Weber is known for his success with spinal fusions, simple and complex spinal disorders, reconstructive spinal surgery and Failed Back Surgery Syndrome patients.
Dr. Weber graduated with honors from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 1990. After a General Surgery Internship at Johns Hopkins, he pursued Neurosurgery training at the University of Washington in Seattle, Atkinson Morley Hospital in London England and Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He joined the Laser Spine Institute in 2012 and the Comprehensive Spine Center in 2016.
Through the understanding that no two patients are the same and do not fit into the same healing path, Dr. Weber’s passion is treating patients as individuals. His treatment philosophy is to utilize the methodology which gives the best chance of relieving symptoms and ultimately promotes the long term health and function of the spine.
After initial thorough evaluation and diagnosis, patients are provided conservative care options. Most patients respond well to these measures.
For those patients who need additional treatment, Dr. Weber specializes in minimally invasive surgical approaches. Minimally Invasive Procedures effectively treat spine problems with fewer complications and faster recovery than conventional spine surgery. For patients suffering from Failed Back Surgery Syndrome, Dr. Weber excels in the evaluation and treatment of chronic neck and back pain for those that may have had previous surgical interventions that failed.

I have worked in spine care for a little over 11 years now and prior to this, I worked for an attorney’s office. I was introduced to spine surgery at outpatient facilities and could see that the patient experience was better and the patient recovery was much quicker. I saw more and more patients getting their lives back and I knew I wanted to be a part of something bigger. I fell in love with the spine care industry the more I worked with different departments within the surgery centers and was able to understand the value of minimally invasive spine surgery and knew that this was my niche. 11 years later, I feel fulfilled knowing that I am helping contribute to the recovery and care of our patients and our healthcare community. I really enjoy people and working for a company that promotes patient and staff welfare first- I like to bring a positive, happy environment to work.

I grew up in Dunedin and stayed close to the area. I retired from the school system at an early age and opened up a travel company in Tampa. When I sold it, I was given the opportunity to work in the medical field. So, for the past 11 years I have been involved with a Spine care facility on the administrative side of the business. I was instrumental in starting up two departments which helped the overall experience of the patient. I enjoy speaking with the patients and listening to their concerns. Seeing the outcome of our patients being satisfied, and seeing them enjoy life every day is very positive and satisfying to me. I treat our patients like they are part of my family. And here, at Comprehensive Spine Institute we are all one family.
